Day 1 :: Arrival Yangon with morning flight :: -/-/-
Our Gracious Myanmar Travel's guides will meet on arrival at Yangon International Airport and transfer to hotel. Today's sightseeing tour includes the old colonial-style city centre with the gilded SULE PAGODA, dating back to over 2,000 years. The tour continues to CHAUK HTAT GYI, a huge reclining Buddha image followed by a photo stop made at KARAWEIK HALL, a royal floating barge. An extended visit to SHWEDAGON PAGODA, one of the world's most spectacular religious monuments, will conclude the tour of this picturesque Garden City. The golden dome of the Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold. Stay overnight at Hotel in Yangon.
Day 2 :: Yangon - Mandalay by morning flight - Amarapura :: B/-/-
Transfer to airport for domestic flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival at the new Mandalay Airport proceed directly to AMARAPURA. Visit MAHAGANDAYON, a famous Buddhist monastery, where more than a thousand monks reside and study; continue to the 200-year-old U BEIN TEAK BRIDGE, built in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was the royal capital. Visit to BAGAYA MONASTERY, with a superb collection of Buddha statues. Drive to Mandalay visit some workshops to see the production of the famous Mandalay Arts and crafts, like Gold Leafs, Carvings and Tapesteries. Stay overnight at Hotel in Mandalay.
Day 3 :: Mandalay - Mingun :: B/-/-
A boat trip on the mighty AYEYARWADDY RIVER takes you to MINGUN about 11 km (1 hour) upriver from Mandalay whereby visits include the MINGUN BELL, weighing 90 tons and being the largest un- cracked bell in the world, HSINBYUME PAYA and the unfinished MINGUN PAYA, built as one of the world's largest Zedi by megalomaniac King Bodaw Paya. In the afternoon, visit MANDALAY PALACE, former royal residence of King Mindon and his successor King Thibaw. It was a city in the city, like the Forbidden City in Beijing/ China. Afterwards proceed to the clock tower and nearby Zeigyo market. Stay overnight at Hotel in Mandalay.
Day 4 :: Mandalay - Pyin Oo Lwin :: B/-/-
After breakfast drive on scenic route to Pyin Oo Lwin (68 km), also known as Maymyo, a former British Hill Station. Pyin Oo Lwin is also called the "City of Flowers". Enjoy a stroll through the famous BOTANICAL GARDEN, located at KANDAWGYI LAKE. Finally visit NAUNG KAN GYI Pagoda for sun-set. Stay overnight at Hotel in Pyin Oo Lwin.
Day 5 :: Pyin Oo Lwin - Anisakan Waterfall - Mandalay :: B/L/-
After breakfast, visit downtown area and market by horse-cart*. Afterwards proceed from Pyin Oo Lwin back to Mandalay by car. On route, about 8km out of Pyin Oo Lwin, stop at the parking lot and trek down to the spectacular scenery of ARNISAKAN FALLS. After enjoying GMT picnic lunch, walk back to the car and continue driving to Mandalay. Upon arrival in Mandalay, rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at Hotel in Mandalay.

Day 6 :: Mandalay - Bagan by boat :: B/-/-
After early breakfast, transfer to jetty at 5a.m. jetty for river cruise from Mandalay to Nyaung U. Enjoy the extraordinary scenic and interesting sights along the picturesque Ayeyarwaddy River onboard. Upon arrival in Bagan at about 4 p.m., transfer to the Hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel in Bagan.
*Bagan: Approx. founded in 849 AD. The peak of Bagan era started under King Anawrahta in 1044 and ended in 1287 when Mongols overrun Bagan.
Thousands of Pagodas were built within an area of 42 km˛. According to the Archaeological Department 2217 standing pagodas are listed.
Day 7 :: Bagan :: B/-/-
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing at the busy local market and continue to a diverse selection of the most important Pagodas and temples such as SHWEZIGON PAGODA, which was built by King Anawratha in the early century. Continued by KU BYAUK GYI, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, KHAY MIN GA TEMPLE which is noted for its spectacular panoramic view of the area's many monuments and ANANDA TEMPLE with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches inside the gallery. Afterwards proceed to MYINGABA GU BYAUKGYI TEMPLE, noted for its ancient mural paintings under the protection of UNESCO. In the late afternoon take a boat trip (1 ˝ hrs) on the famous Ayeyarwaddy River. Stay overnight at Hotel in Bagan.
*Visit also the famous lacquer ware workshops in Myingaba Village today!!!
Day 8 :: Bagan - Mt. Popa - Bagan :: B/-/-
After breakfast, proceed on a scenic overland journey to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with its shrine dedicated to animist spirits, known as "Nats". For the energetic, there is time to climb the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the volcanic plug and enjoy the breathtaking view over the valley. In the afternoon return back to Bagan. Stay overnight at Hotel in Bagan.
Day 9 :: Bagan - Yangon by morning flight :: B/-/-
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for domestic flight to Yangon and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon visit NAGAR GLASS FACTORY to observe the traditional production of glass products! It#s worth to stroll around, as this place is famous for its natural warehouse! Afterwards time for shopping at Bogyoke Market, also known as Scott Market. Here you will find a lot of Myanmar products like lacquerware, clothes, jewellery, paintings and much more. Stay overnight at Hotel in Yangon.
*At the Glass Factory you should use the Mosquito repellent, as there are many little thirsty "vampires"!
Day 10 :: Yangon international departure :: B/-/-
After breakfast, transfer to Yangon International Airport for departure.
